Internship Program

The EU InfoCentre in Skopje offers the opportunity for 5 sessions of internships throughout the year. The internships are voluntary (unpaid) and the interns are required to work part-time (20 hours per week) during a period of three months.

The EU InfoCentre offers an internship of three months for young people. The work of the trainees includes executive tasks such as collecting and documenting information, assisting the organization of events, providing information and assistance to the visitors in the center, as well as more thorough activities such as writing reports, factsheets and other.

The candidates should possess a basic knowledge of events in the EU and an interest in the country’s integration process in the EU. After the completion of the internship,  the interns will receive a certificate confirming the completed internship and if necessary, a letter of recommendation.

The periods in which the internships take place are:

  • August-October
  • November to January
  • February-April
  • May-July

The interns must be financially independent during the internship in order to cover their travel costs, accommodation as well as daily costs due to the fact that the internship is unpaid.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • The interns must be citizens of either the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, one of the EU member states or the countries applying for EU membership;
  • The interns must hold an university degree of at least 3 years undergraduate studies, preferably in the field of European studies, economics, political science or law. In addition, the interns should be familiar with the EU integration process, particularly related to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia;
  • Knowledge of Macedonian and English or Macedonian, Albanian and English language is required; other languages are considered as asset;
  • Good computer skills are also necessary.
